Who We Are

We are a faith community celebrating the beauty of God’s Presence

 We Value

Caring:  Creating a kind, compassionate, encouraging and  joyful presence in all our activities and in our service to neighbours both nearby and worldwide.

Respecting:  Embracing all ages and abilities, heritages and cultures, sexual orientations and gender identities.

Belonging:  Building relationships that treasure each person by welcoming the talents and perspectives of everyone in a safe and understanding space.

Learning:  Growing and nurturing our spirituality through deepening our knowledge of the Christian tradition and Scriptures as well as honouring the wisdom of other spiritualities and religions.

A Song of Faith:
We join with The United Church of Canada in "singing" our faith through the celebrative "A Song of Faith" adopted as a faith statement by The United Church of Canada in 2006.

A New Creed:
We embody the values of a New Creed, adopted by The United Church of Canada in 1968 (updated 1980 and 1995)

          We are not alone,
                      we live in God’s world.
          We believe in God:
who has created and is creating,
                      who has come in Jesus,
                               the Word made flesh,
                               to reconcile and make new,
who works in us and others by the Spirit.
         We trust in God.
We are called to be the Church:
                      to celebrate God’s presence,
to live with respect in Creation,
                      to love and serve others,
to seek justice and resist evil,
to proclaim Jesus, crucified and risen,
                              our judge and our hope.
In life, in death, in life beyond death,
          God is with us.
          We are not alone.
          Thanks be to God.
