Prayer Corner Policy

Policy for Prayer Corner, Weekly Sunday Bulletins
 
Background:

• In June 2017, it was brought to the attention of the Genesis Cooperative Council that privacy considerations should be taken into account when individual names were being printed in the “Prayer Corner” of the weekly Sunday bulletins.
• The objective of this protocol is to include individual names in the Prayer Corner only if the individual (or their family) has agreed to have his/her name included.  

 
Guidelines:

• Individual names will be added to the Prayer Corner by the Genesis secretary once it has been confirmed that the individual (or their family) has agreed to have his/her name included. 
• This confirmation can be provided by any congregation member, LLWL or the Minister, but should be provided by email to the Genesis secretary.  It will therefore be the responsibility of the congregational member herself/himself to have obtained approval to print the name in the Prayer Corner.
• Names will remain on the Prayer Corner listing for two weeks and will be removed by the Genesis secretary at that time, unless confirmed by email by the congregational member that the name should remain for an additional two weeks.
• These guidelines will be re-visited regularly to ensure that they are achieving their objective.
